Arrival by foot
Choose the beautiful, old mule track from Meiringen via the Grosse Scheidegg to Grindelwald, or one of the other, numerous hiking routes (see also "HIKING"). You can hand over your luggage to the Postbus driver in Meiringen or Grindelwald for a fee.

By car, Restaurant Kaltenbrunnen can be reached in 2 ½ hrs from every large Swiss-German city. The municipalities of Schattenhalb and Meiringen will be charging for the use of the road and car parks from 2013. Please pay the surcharge either at our hotel or at the ticket machine at Oberzwirgi.
